Sometimes it is best to focus on the experience of trailrunning and why we are really out here. Rather than worry about PRs, distance, elevation, and time... think about the forest, the sights, smells, sounds and even the friendships that can be forged along the way. All of these elements in nature will often remind me of the people I have run with over the years. Like a sunset, the crack of lightning, a falling tree, or a wild animal they all come and go. Loved ones, friends, strangers. I wonder where they have gone? This goes out to all of the incredible people who have let me into their lives, and given me the chance to share my passion for trailrunning with them! I hope you enjoyed.

North Face Endurance Challenge Aid Station Volunteer
I'm making a big effort to get all the spots filled for the BayTrailrunners North Face Endurance Challenge Tennessee Valley Aid Station. Volunteers will set up their aid station, track runners, provide
directional support, distribute fluids and food, collect lost and found
items, and assist the event staff in breaking down each aid station. We will all work together and have a lot of fun at this annual event!

Montrail Pro Purchase
Montrail pulled through and hooked me up with a pro purchase! 3 brand new pairs to beat the hell out of. Left to right: Bajada, Fairhaven, Rockridge. I took the Rockridge out for a test drive in Huddart today. They are a nice light shoe with well-ventilated uppers. Midsole felt ok
but should be much better once I replace the stock insoles. The high
padded
collar gave decent support. Good grip on the outsole but I ran on the
soft trails of Huddart today. Let's see how they do on hardened trails
of the Marin Headlands!
